Meet your hostesses and guest speaker

Geneviève Bolla, Co-founder of Studio Set

Born in Montreal, Geneviève began dancing at a very young age. Trained at the École supérieure de Ballet du Québec, she became a member of the Jeune Ballet du Québec at the age of 17. She then went on to dance professionally for companies like Mandala Situ, Cas Public, Manon fait de la danse and Dave St-Pierre, with whom she performed in Quebec and internationally..

In addition, she founded the dance company Evolucidanse, where she acted as artistic and general director in addition to choreographer, and dancer. Years of training and experience allowed her to develop?a high level of physical fitness and a strong understanding of the body.

Her interest in Pilates then became a natural path in her career. With the desire to deepen her knowledge of the benefits of Pilates, Geneviève became a STOTT PILATES instructor. She has taken several trainings and workshops such as, pre and post natal, the Franklin method, and specializes in athletic training and rehabilitation.

It was after teaching at numerous studios around Montreal that she decided to open Studio set with her business partner, Miriah Brennan. Her experience in dance and Pilates has provided her the insight to be able to help clients reach their goals, while respecting their physical and personal limits, find harmony and balance within the body, and improve posture. She is a co-owner of Studio Set

Miriah Brennan, Co-founder of Studio Set

Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she started dancing at the age of three at Halifax Dance, where she completed the Russian ballet syllabus. At the age of 15, Miriah completed her teacher training and, at the same time, was first introduced to Pilates. She then began teaching creative movement, ballet, hip hop, and jazz to all ages.

After 6 years of teaching and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in international development from Dalhousie University, Miriah moved to Montreal to begin studies in professional dance at LADMMI. It was here that her love of teaching and Pilates grew into a dream to someday open her own Pilates studio. After graduating in 2009, she danced for companies in Vancouver, New York, Toronto, Halifax, and Montreal for Louise Bedard Danse, Manon Oligny, Heidi Strauss, Andrew Tay, Alejandro de Leon, and David Pressault.

During her professional career, Miriah rediscovered Pilates and its benefits as a complete and safe workout. She then went on to take many training courses such as her STOTT PILATES certification, BootyBarre certification, and many Eric Franklin workshops. Miriah has taught at numerous studios and gyms around Montreal. She is dedicated to helping clients obtain their goals and finds it exciting to watch changes happen in their bodies, either in terms of structural alignment or musculature. She is a co-owner of Studio Set.

Sarah Laroche, Founder of SELV Rituel

Selv was founded by Sarah Laroche, a « slow living » embassador.

First a stylist, then a photographer, she was greatly inspired by her travels which introduced her to a slower way of life which focuses on self-care and the care of others. From this desire to create opportunities for slowness and care for the people she loves, as well as her passion for the bath ritual, Selv was born.

During this retreat, we will have the privilege of welcoming Sarah for a 1-hour workshop on non-toxic wellness rituals. She will teach us how to make better choices when it comes time to take care of ourselves, the importance of using botanical oils on the body, how to integrate a beauty ritual into your day and how to prepare a perfect bath.
