Julie Dionne
Pilates instructor
Julie began exploring physical movement from a very young age. After graduating from the Sport-Arts-Studies program at the Quebec School of Dance (high school and college diplomas), she moved to Montreal to further expand her training at the National Circus School.
With an impressive 25-year career as an acrobat — including two decades with the prestigious Cirque du Soleil — Julie then chose to dedicate her expertise in movement and her in-depth knowledge of anatomy to wellness. She turned her focus to massage therapy and became a Pilates instructor.
Driven by endless curiosity and a constant desire to deepen her understanding of the human body, she draws on her rich background in dance and circus arts to offer a unique, holistic, and personalized approach.
Julie discovered mat Pilates during her years of dance training, and later Reformer work while at Cirque du Soleil. She incorporated this discipline into her daily life for many years, both as part of her personal practice and as a rehabilitation tool following professional injuries. Pilates also became an invaluable ally in helping her regain strength after the birth of her two children, and remains, to this day, her preferred method for reconnecting deeply with her body.
Beyond being simply a form of exercise, Pilates has become a true lifelong philosophy for both body and mind.
Today, as an instructor, I aim to share this relationship with the art of mindful movement with my clients: helping them build strength, improve mobility, and move with greater awareness and confidence. My approach combines the foundations of classical Pilates with the lessons and experience gained throughout my performance career.
